| WHAT IS A MILLIAMP HOUR (mAh)? |
If you are considering portable solar charging it is important to understand what a Milliamp hour means.A Milliamps Hour (mAh) is the way to distinguish the strength or capacity of a battery. The higher the mAh, the longer the battery will last. For rechargeable batteries the mAh rating is how long the battery will last per charge.
Milliamp Hour is 1/1000th of a Amp Hour, so a 1000mAh = 1.0Ah
A higher mAh rating means the (fully-charged) battery can power a device that consumes more power and/or for a longer amount of time before becoming depleted and needing to be re-charged. For example, a battery rated at 1500 mAh can power a device drawing 100 milliamps for 15 hours, or a device drawing 150 milliamps for 10 hours.

Northern Green, LLC is excited to announce that we are working in conjunction with Waterline Industries to provide the wind turbine that will be installed at the Falmouth High School as part of their on-site renewable energy generation system.
Included is a 10 kW Bergey Wind Turbine on a tilt-down tower for ease of maintenance; a rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) array of approximately 13.5 kW and several wall-mounted solar PV arrays that may include sunshades over the windows and/or near the school signage.
The predicted energy savings beyond code: 21%. Installation is schedule for Fall 2010. Continue to check back for more updates and installation details.

Open Road is Worcester’s first sustainable and earth-friendly music and arts festival. The festival will take place Saturday September 4th at Institute Park. On top of the great live music, there will be an eclectic variety of cuisine, many local artists and vendors, family-friendly activities and much more. Live music kicks off at 11:00 am and will proceed until 6:00 pm.
2010 New England Public Works Expo is Wednesday September 29th and Thursday September 30th at the Wachusett Trade Center in Fitchburg Massachusetts located at the Courtyard Fitchburg at 150 Royal Plaza Drive in Fitchburg. The exhibits are open on Wednesday from 8:00 am to
